The 2025 ISPE International Honor Awards were hosted in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA during the 2025 ISPE Annual Meeting & Expo. The ceremony, which took place at the Membership Meeting and Awards Lunch, recognized ISPE members and contributors whose dedication and service exemplify what it means to Shape the Future of Pharma™. The Max Seales Yonker Member of the Year Award was presented to Lindsey Daniel, Takeda’s Global Head of Operational Excellence, Biologics Network. This award honors the legacy of Max Seales Yonker, an ISPE member who devoted her own time, energy, and knowledge to ISPE while battling cancer.

Lindsey has been recognized with the Max Seales Yonker Member of the Year Award for her significant contributions to ISPE over the last year. However, her commitment to ISPE extends far beyond 2025 alone. Lindsey first began her journey with ISPE in 2012 as a member of the Young Professionals Committee and has since been involved with more than 10 ISPE Communities of Practice (CoPs), ISPE Chapters, and committees. She has volunteered countless hours for over a decade to support the success of the global pharmaceutical industry. Known as a connector and leader within ISPE, she is quick to welcome new faces, consistently inviting them to join her in contributing to the industry through mentorship, volunteering, and sharing knowledge.

Lindsey’s commitment to spreading knowledge and fostering innovation internationally has been evident through her work supporting the planning of ISPE conferences. She has been on the program committee for the ISPE Facilities of the Future Conference for the last four years and will serve as the Chair for the 2026 ISPE Facilities of the Future Conference. At the 2025 ISPE Facilities of the Future Conference, she gave a compelling introduction to the 2026 conference, highlighting it’s importance in staying up to date with the latest trends she shared, “My previous role had all been engineering, building and starting up sites, leading processing teams at our sites, and this role really had nothing technical included in it. And I was really nervous about losing my technical capabilities. And that’s where ISPE and…specifically this conference became my anchor, because while my day-to-day work at Takeda didn’t involve anything about facilities of the future of engineering, I still had that outlet her with ISPE and with the [ISPE] Facilities of the Future Conference”.

Lindsey also served on the program committee for the 2025 ISPE Biotechnology Conference. Through her efforts she brought in keynote speakers, served as a track lead for Operational Readiness and Cultural Excellence, and contributed a blog post with fellow ISPE members Emily Heffernan, PE and Sean Keenan to promote the conference’s must-see track sessions. She has also championed ISPE Emerging Leaders, encouraging them to join her on conference program committees and to present at ISPE conferences.

Lindsey’s dedication to knowledge sharing also extends to those within her local area. Stepping up no matter the location, she has served in leadership positions within the ISPE San Diego Chapter, ISPE Midwest Chapter, and presently the ISPE Boston Area Chapter where she has been Secretary, Vice President, and now serves as President. Through these roles, she has helped the Boston Area chapter develop key performance indicators to encourage long-term strategic planning and success. She sought out and recruited new members to join the chapter’s board of directors, understanding the value of having fresh perspectives and a wide variety of unique skillsets.

Leading through vulnerability and authenticity, she inspires professional engagement for women and other underrepresented groups through leadership within ISPE Women in Pharma® and by mentoring several ISPE Emerging Leaders globally. Recently, she shared excerpts of her life as a working mother through her authorship of a Pharmaceutical Engineering® magazine article entitled, “Women in Pharma® Editorial: Having It All”. In the article, she opened up about how she has created and maintained a work-life balance that works for her and her family, specifically highlighting the importance of her ISPE Women in Pharma community stating. “They say it takes a village, and Women in Pharma is the pub at the center of my village—a place to connect, celebrate successes, and confide in friends when struggling. Most importantly, it’s a place I know will always be there when I need it, no matter the problem,” said Lindsey.

Lindsey’s extensive involvement with ISPE has expanded innovative and strategic thinking, increased collaboration across the industry, and serves to inspire the next generation of pharmaceutical talent, locally and internationally.
