Exploring Advancements in Pharma Manufacturing Technology & Facilities

I am excited to share with you that the first “Face to Face” ISPE Conference since the beginning of COVID-19 is now scheduled to take place in North Bethesda, Maryland, USA, on 1–2 February. The 2022 ISPE Facilities of the Future Conference will be an in-person, live event full of topics of great interest learned from the pandemic along with related and unrelated challenges that our industry has faced during these past 18 months.

Over the past year, our industry has faced unprecedented challenges, and we have responded with tremendous steps forward in science and technology. We should all take pride in how we as an industry stepped up, in the race of a generation, to develop and deliver COVID-19 vaccines, and find and deliver treatments to help the patients we serve. We went from a position last February and March of “I can’t believe this is happening” to “what do we need to do?” and “how can we help?” From that point forward, we have not looked back. I’ve been a proud member of this industry since 1984 and can tell you today I’ve never been prouder of the work that we all do and the difference we make in our world than I am now. Thanks to all of you for being a part of that.

Given that this is ISPE’s first face-to-face conference since the beginning of the pandemic, we are confident that ISPE members and industry leaders alike are more than ready to get out to share and learn from these experiences with our colleagues in the industry we proudly serve.

The programming committee is planning dozens of informative and exciting presentation topics and speakers, and we expect a great industry turnout. We have strong interest from key regulators eager to contribute and be a part of these discussions and presentations. You can expect that this conference will be packed with useful material and opportunities to catch up with many attending and presenting industry peers and colleagues. That has been the hallmark of ISPE Conferences for many years, and it is great to have this opportunity to re-initiate this environment as we transition out of the pandemic.

Why You’ll Benefit:

  • Hear what the industry has learned from COVID and its effect on pharmaceutical manufacturing operations of the future.
  • Learn how industry leaders are successfully implementing technology innovations in business strategies and related facility design including digital twins, virtual reality, artificial intelligence, and automation.
  • Engage with industry and regulatory thought leaders about addressing key issues for today’s pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities and identifying challenges for the future.
  • Gain insights from industry leaders about their approaches to digitization, cybersecurity, lifecycle engineering, and plant asset management for the facilities of the future.

We look forward to seeing you in February at the 2022 ISPE Facilities of the Future Conference! Thanks for your interest and your continuing support of ISPE.
