As our industry continues to evolve with new and innovative technologies, new product launches, the approval of biosimilars and the continued pressures to drive cost down and quality up, the question remains how to design infrastructure, including both new facilities and those that have been established for years. Most importantly, the industry needs to continue to advance quality manufacturing and implement crucial changes for new efficiencies. The 2019 ISPE Annual Meeting & Expo will offer you the opportunity to engage with industry peers, equipment providers, consultants and regulators who work in the industry as we explore this year’s theme Modernize, Globalize, Transform.
This year we have assembled a Facilities and Equipment track which covers the entire lifecycle spanning new construction to maintaining legacy facilities to implementing new processing technologies as well as implementing digital innovations. This is a very broad track intended to challenge those involved in the delivery of pharmaceutical facilities used to support the development, manufacturing, testing, and storage of pharmaceutical industry products.
This year’s Facilities and Equipment Track includes subject matter experts from regulated companies, such as Novo Nordisk and Johnson & Johnson, as well as the service providers and consultants we rely upon, including Energy Efficiency Consultancy Ltd. and Jacobs Engineering Group, Inc. These subject matter experts will share best practices and new approaches to increase efficiencies, lower costs and modernize the way we operate in the pharmaceutical manufacturing sector.
Day one the Facilities and Equipment Track kicks off with the workshop Digital Solutions for Lifescience Manufacturing. Ramon Antelo, Director Lifecycle Experience, Altran will lead this session with presenter Olivier Michel, Specialist Life Sciences, Altran WCC. You will in work in interactive groups to generate new ideas for extension of the digital experience in your company.
The rest of the Facilities and Equipment Track will address important areas that routinely challenge all of us who design, specify, construct and maintain our manufacturing plants and equipment, and will include:
Facilities and Equipment Track session leaders and speakers have put together a program of case studies, industry surveys, practical experience, and forward-thinking strategies.
Specific topics include:
We look forward to meeting you in Las Vegas this October at the 2019 ISPE Annual Meeting & Expo – come join us as we examine ways to achieve efficiencies in manufacturing.
As with all aspects of our life sciences industry, understanding how we can best meet the needs of patients with the timely delivery of life saving and sustaining products is of paramount concern. During the years since the global pandemic, the expectations and pressures on the pharmaceutical industry with respect to development, speed to market, quality and sustainability have increased...
