Brian Pochini is a Principal Engineer working in Sanofi Specialty Care Engineering. Brian has a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering; a Master’s in Business Administration and is a Certified Pharmaceutical Industry Professional (CPIP). Brian has over 20 years’ practical experience within biotechnology, membrane manufacturing/development and custom chemical industries. Brian has a diverse background encompassing multiple engineering discipline functions including HVAC, Critical Utilities, Process Engineering, Instrumentation & Controls, and Facility Design. He has experience in all project phases, including conceptual design, preliminary engineering, detailed engineering, equipment procurement, construction, facility and equipment start-up, and commissioning and qualification activities. Additionally, his project management experience includes the simultaneous management of multiple capital projects and cross-functional team management. He is a member of the ISPE FOYA Committee, the secretary for the ISPE Knowledge Network Council, a former member of the ISPE Commissioning & Qualification Steering Committee, a current member of the ISPE Critical Utilities Steering Committee and is currently the Co-Chair of the ISPE Baseline Guide Vol 5 Biotechnology Manufacturing Facilities team.
