Sustainability Lead Global Pharma Engineering
Thomas Gosmann is a dedicated Sustainability expert, currently serving as the Global Sustainability Lead Engineering at Bayer Pharmaceuticals since 2020.
Thomas began his career at Bayer twenty-five years ago in different engineering roles developing robust expertise in pharmaceutical production and its infrastructure.
From 2013 Thomas worked as department head for energy supply & wastewater in a big supply center. In that time he introduced ISO 50001 and transformed it to an integrated management system. 2019 he took over the global energy responsibility for the division Pharmaceuticals at Bayer. 2020 he joined the Environmental Footprint Program (EFP) as lead for the workstream energy. He is a dedicated builder of sustainability communities to collaborate with industry peers, fostering innovative and sustainable ideas.
Thomas is actively involved in initiatives orchestrated by the Pharmaceutical Environment Group (PEG) and the International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE) working towards developing a global industry framework for measuring and reporting product-level environmental footprint.
