Michelangelo is a strategic leader in business transformation with 15+ years of healthcare industry experience. He created the vision, strategy, and roadmap for realizing the Manufacturing & Lab of the future, developed and integrated an enterprise knowledge management platform for technology innovation, defined and implemented a Digital Academy for upskilling internal employees and established a Cyber Security organization focusing on Operations Technologies and Business Managed Applications.
As an expert in bioprocess engineering, Michelangelo has hands-on experience with developing and industrializing scalable manufacturing processes incl. respective internal/external tech transfers and implementing holistic process control strategies.
Michelangelo graduated with a degree in chemical/bioprocess engineering and obtained a Dr. rer. nat. degree in biotechnology from the University of Bielefeld. He is a University Professor at the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences and a Guest Lecturer at MIT. Since 2016, he is a member of ISPE and chairs the global ISPE CoP Biotechnology.
