Leader of the Innovative Research & Development Laboratory

Haruka Futamura serves as Leader of the Innovative Research and Development Laboratory
(IRL) at Airex. She holds a BS from the Faculty of Science, Kyoto University, and has 10 years
of experience in containment and decontamination by hydrogen peroxide for pharmaceutical
equipment, mainly specializing in glove boxes. In the field of containment technology, Haruka
is engaged in facility and operation risk assessment, operation development, and performance
evaluation. She is a member of the translation team for Risk-MaPP 2 and APCPPE at the ISPE
Japan Affiliate and is the Leader of the Exposure Measurement Database Working Group within
the Japan Affiliate’s Containment COP. Haruka has been an ISPE member since 2010.
