I am currently the MES Solutions Manager at Applied Control Engineering, Inc. (ACE), responsible for the development and execution of MES projects for ACE and I also consult on information security.
I am an experienced IT and systems project manager with over twenty-five years of experience planning and leading projects that develop manufacturing and business systems. I began my career with DuPont's Control Systems group, developing lab automation software, SCADA and MES systems and I installed and configured process control systems in new plants. I managed a team that developed a complete shop floor control system (MES) for production control, SOC management, conditions management, and manufacturing integration. From there, I held positions as an IT manager for DuPont's Lycra® business, chief of information security and IT contracts manager for the newly formed INVISTA, a Koch Industries company. As part of Koch Industries, I helped form and ultimately joined a new IT shared services division of Koch Industries (KBS, LP). I then moved back to INVISTA, where I planned, developed, and managed the manufacturing systems roadmap for the global apparel division, including multiple automation projects for managing recipes, products, and processes for quality and productivity.
I have degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science from Penn State and an MBA from the University of Delaware. I am also a member of MESA (and on their Cyberscurity Working Group), a senior member of ISA and I teach SCADA and Cybersecurity in the graduate program at Wilmington University. I am also a distance runner and cyclist.
