Daniel J. Griffin is a Principal Engineer and Senior Manager at Amgen in Pivotal and Commercial Synthetics Drug Substance Process Development. At Amgen, Dan contributes to the commercial process development, process characterization, technology transfer, and process validation for Amgen’s synthetic portfolio. He also leads a number of technical advancement pillars for synthetic drug substance process development engineering, including digital strategy and continuous manufacturing. Prior to joining Amgen, Dan earned a PhD in chemical engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology under Professors Martha Grover, Yoshi Kawajiri, and Ronald Rousseau, with his primary research focused on the topic of controlling salt crystallization from nuclear waste.
