Chan Lai Wah has a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy and a doctoral degree in pharmaceutics from the National University of Singapore. She is an Associate Professor with the Department of Pharmacy at the National University of Singapore, where she lectures and carries out research in pharmaceutical science, technology, and microbiology. She has published more than 160 research papers, conference papers, and book chapters and serves as an editorial board member and reviewer for scientific journals. She is also a registered pharmacist in Singapore. She is particularly concerned about the quality, safety, and efficacy of pharmaceutical products and takes a keen interest in their formulation, manufacture, and regulatory control. In addition to her academic activities, she provides consultancy in pharmaceutical formulation and has served as an external specialist to the Health Sciences Authority of Singapore.
