Adoption of Augmented Reality in Pharma: Drivers & Challenges

Extended Learning
Learning Level: Basic
Session Length: 2 hours

Over the past decades the Augmented Reality (AR) has undergone a tremendous progress, driven by continued hardware improvements and ever-growing demand to expand the AR potential in enterprise. From a rather futuristic concept with somewhat fuzzy prospects, the AR technology has matured to the level where it brings real benefits. While quite some learnings have been made with the AR-powered solutions in automotive, retail, and aerospace (where the industrial AR takes originally its roots from), there is still only a handful of companies ready for the genuine AR adoption in the pharmaceutical industry. And this is despite the proven benefits of the AR in supporting the pharma processes.

We would like to invite everyone who tries to keep up with the digital transformation to discuss motivation behind rolling out the AR in pharma, real-life success stories, experiences and learnings; benefits and challenges of the AR with regard to speed, quality, responsiveness of pharma processes, as well as human factors.

Learning Objectives

  1. Gain useful technological insights about augmented reality
  2. How to relate augmented reality to the pharma environment with its unique requirements and challenges
  3. Ability to evaluate the most promising use cases for augmented reality adoption at your company
