Xavier Le Saout

Xavier Le Saoût is currently manager within the BioProcess Technology and Innovation group at Merck Healthcare (based at Corsier sur Vevey, Switzerland). He joined Merck 15 years ago to work primarily into the downstream pilot scale development group to support technical transfers’ activities to manufacturing. In 2007, he integrated a new team in order to take care of preformulation activities to support the DS and process intermediates stability studies. End of 2010, he took the lead of this team to participate to the process development of several Mabs from lab scale until their manufacturing technical transfers. Finally, since 2015, he is leading a team in charge of evaluating innovative DSP technologies to define next generation purification process to be implemented in future manufacturing facilities at Merck.
