William Deckert is the Global Consultant and Discipline Lead for PPM (Program and Project Management) Services for CAI (Commissioning Agents Inc.) an employee owned consulting firm specializing in helping clients complete their projects in a more timely manner and get their new products to market quicker. He has over 30 years of design/build experience with clean compliant research and manufacturing facilities worldwide.
He has managed engineering and construction projects from concept all the way through to validation, with project sizes up to $500mm. These projects range from class one cleanrooms to BSL-3Ag containment facilities. Past clients include companies such as Eli Lilly, Merck, GSK, AT&T, Lonza, Biogen-Idec, A-RX, University of Michigan, Georgia Tech University, Cel-Sci, Amgen, Bayer, Wyeth, United Therapeutics, Zoetis, Teva, Elanco, Medimmune, Alcon, ICU Medical, Terumo Medical, Proctor & Gamble, Novartis, Ciba Vision and more.
Projects have included process equipment from large autoclaves and pressure vessels to RODI water systems and process controls. Mr. Deckert has managed engineering teams for specialty drug manufacturing of intravenous drugs, oral liquids and solids and providing consulting for project development for the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industries. He has broad experience in product/process development, design, air, process and people flow diagrams and has designed and built worldwide laboratories and research facilities up to BSL-3 and BSL-3Ag.
Mr. Deckert’s track record of success in partnering with clients enhances his ability to bring an innovative approach to complex projects and to helping clients succeed. He attended the University of Cincinnati where he majored in Architecture. He has been a member of ISPE for 27 years.
