Walter H. Senour

Walt Senour, Principal Process Engineer, retired, is a long-time contributor to ISPE, and has over 30 years’ experience in world class sterile manufacturing organizations including Elanco, Eli Lilly, Sanofi Pasteur, and Upjohn. Walt is a subject matter expert across most aspects of formulation, filling, isolation and lyophilization equipment and has been bringing Advanced Aseptic Technology online for most of his career. He was a pioneer in isolation and RABS and Isolator technology since the 1990’s, continuing until the present day, and was a charter member of BUGs (Barrier Users Group) and the LUMS (Lilly, Upjohn, Merck, Sanofi) groups, who sponsored barrier technology to the FDA from the beginning. Walt has presented ISPE Case Studies on Deep Vac VHP Sterilization of Lyophilizers and a Sterile Vial Filling Containment Isolator for a Cytotoxic Drug, and recently presented a case study during the 2016 Isolator conference.
