As I conclude my tenure as Chair of the Women in Pharma® International Steering Committee, I reflect on a journey that has been professionally enriching and personally transformative.

Vivien Santillan is a pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical executive recognized for advancing regulatory excellence, digital transformation, and purposeful leadership. As Regional Director for Asia at Novatek International, she bridges deep technical expertise into business-ready strategies - assisting regulated organizations strengthen operational efficiency, data integrity, and compliance maturity. Her foundation in Computer Applications and certification in Total Quality Management strengthened her ability to align technology, quality, and regulatory expectations across diverse markets.
With expertise in GxP and quality systems digitalization, Vivien translates complex regulatory and technical requirements into clear, actionable strategies for executives, regulators, and cross-functional teams. Her work spans technical consulting, gap analysis, solution design, and high-impact communication—enabling companies to modernize operations while meeting global regulatory expectations.
Vivien plays active leadership role within ISPE, serving as Director at International Board, Chair of GAMP® South Asia Steering Committee, Past Chair of Women in Pharma® International Steering Committee and contributing to multiple Communities of Practice, including Drug Shortages and QC/Analytical. She envisions ISPE as a society that expands equitable access to relevant training and education and deepens its role as a strategic partner to affiliates, chapters and its members in navigating challenges and achieving their objectives for the pharmaceutical industry.
A respected mentor and advocate for women and emerging leaders, she integrates Asian leadership values with global best practices. Through cross-border engagements and thought leadership, she continues to build collaborative, sustainable communities across the life-sciences sector.
