Valerie Liu Tsang, PhD

Dr. Valerie Tsang is a Technical Development Program Lead for clinical protein biologics programs at Biogen where she coordinates technical development activities and strategies to support CMC goals and Regulatory filings for her programs. Valerie has been with Biogen for 13 years within Technical Development, spending the first 9 years in Cell Culture Process Development before taking on her current role. In recent years, Valerie has been involved in initiatives that include defining comparability strategies for late stage process changes as well as development of control strategies using new technologies in concert with product and process understanding. Prior to joining Biogen, Valerie earned her Ph.D. in Bioengineering at the University of California at San Diego and her B.S. in Chemical Engineering at Rice University.
