Thomas is a leading researcher in production management and has developed his division to one of the largest research areas at the University of St.Gallen, Switzerland. He has published in renowned journals in production and operations management and has authored, edited or co-edited more than 15 books. He is executive director at the Institute for Production and Supply Chain Management at the University of St.Gallen and has supervised over 50 PhD thesis as main referee. He's working globally supporting as well large companies as industrial SMEs. Thomas did also research for the US FDA and is the initiator of the renowned St.Gallen Benchmarkings for the Pharma Industry.
