Dr. S. Sonja Sekulic is Research Fellow in Analytical R&D, Pfizer Worldwide Research and Development, Pfizer Inc in Groton, Connecticut. She received her B.S. and PhD degrees in Analytical Chemistry from the University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia. She completed her post-doctoral work in chemometrics at the University of Washington under the direction of Professor Bruce Kowalski.

She was hired into Pfizer in 1993 and has held a variety of positions within the organization including Head of Process Analytical Technology for WRD, Team Leader in Drug Product Analytical Development supporting late stage programs and filing activities. Sonja currently heads up an Advanced Analytical measurements group (SPECTech) in Pharmaceutical Sciences which spans the areas of PAT, Spectroscopy, Particulates, Modeling and Simulation, Process Control and Novel Technology Development.

She currently also heads up the Computational and Predictive Science Initiative for the Pharmaceutical Sciences organization which aims to implement optimal simulation capabilities into routine operations.
