Associate Director
Sheron Branham is the Associate Director of Process Engineering and Manufacturing at Biogen and is responsible for the operation of their new antisense oligonucleotide clinical and commercial manufacturing facility. She is inspired by the potential impact ASOs could have on unserved patient populations and was driven to help in the mission. She serves on the site leadership team for Biogen’s RTP facility and has been at Biogen for five years. Sheron has nineteen years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry with the majority of her career in small molecule drug substance and drug product manufacturing for companies like Merck and Glaxosmithkline. She transitioned into oligonucleotides to lead the startup of Biogen’s first internal ASO manufacturing facility. In her previous role with Biogen she led the Small Molecule Manufacturing Sciences team during the internalization of another new platform for Biogen: small molecule drug product manufacturing. Sheron holds a Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering from Clemson University and an MBA from NC State University.
