Semsi Ensari, PhD

Semsi Ensari is a Director, Global Manufacturing Sciences and Technology group at Kite Pharma. His team supports technology transfers, process and product monitoring, process validations and GMP manufacturing for engineered T cell therapy products. Prior to joining Kite, Semsi held positions with increasing responsibilities in Research, Process Development and Manufacturing at Schering-Plough, Ambrx, and Genentech. Over the course of 19 years of service, Semsi has a proven track record in successfully developing and implementing microbial and cell culture processes for clinical and commercial production of therapeutic proteins, antibodies, cell and gene therapies. Semsi earned his BS in Chemical Engineering from Bogazici University in Turkey, MS and PhD in Biochemical Engineering from University of California, Irvine.
