Head of Manufacturing
Zack McGahey is the Head of Manufacturing for Grifols Diagnostic Solutions, Industrial group, managing all production and support activities for a commercial operation supplying over 21 immunodiagnostic products to the market. Prior to this role, Zack served as the Head of Operational development for Project Horizon at Grifols, a planned 90,000 square-foot capex investment to build a new consolidated manufacturing facility in Emeryville, California.<br><br>
Zack is an expert in manufacturing operations management, process engineering and facility design at both clinical and commercial companies. He has overseen the commissioning, validation and start-up of multiple biomanufacturing facilities in the Bay area, including the new Grifols commercial manufacturing facility in Emeryville slated for full tech transfer in 2018. Prior to joining Grifols, Zack led manufacturing activities for 13 years at Revance Therapeutics, FibroGen, and Cell Genesys.<br><br>
Zack holds a bachelor’s degree in Bioengineering from the University of California at Berkeley, and a Master of Business Administration degree from the Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania.
