Petrus J Geldenhuis is currently a member of the Continuous Manufacturing Group at Vertex Pharmaceuticals, focusing on equipment troubleshooting, continuous process improvements, digitizing standard operating procedures and following lean manufacturing principles to improve and standardize equipment turnarounds. <br><br>
Petrus has hand on experience with disassembly, cleaning, re-assembly and operation of both the continuous wet and dry granulation lines at Vertex. Petrus also has experience with implementation, qualification and validation of both hardware and software changes to the system. <br><br>
Previously Petrus helped with the design and start up of the continuous OSD manufacturing pilot plant at Purdue University, where he earned his B.S. Degree in Chemical Engineering. Before Vertex, Petrus worked as a process engineer at S&C Electric (high voltage insulator manufacturing), Intel (semi-conductor manufacturing) and Dunn-Edwards (paint manufacturing).
