Paul Smock

Paul L. Smock is a Biotechnology Quality & Technical Consultant at Meridian BioGroup, LLC., serving clients in Maryland and across the United States. He was previously Senior Director, Technical Quality at AstraZeneca Biologics (MedImmune, LLC) providing science and risk based quality leadership and direction for biologics operations across the enterprise. Paul has 40 years of experience in the biotechnology industry spanning biopharmaceuticals, vaccines, validation consulting, and in-vitro diagnostic businesses. Paul is a 22 year member of ISPE, Past President of the Boston Area Chapter and is currently serving as a board member and Education Committee Co-Chair of the ISPE Chesapeake Bay Chapter. He holds a BS degree in Chemistry/Mathematics from the University of Michigan, a Masters Degree in Clinical Chemistry from the University of Dayton and is currently an Adjunct Professor at Mount St. Mary’s University.
