Global Technical Services
Pat joined Pfizer in 2001 as a plant engineer in Andover, Massachusetts, where he worked on various office, lab, and utility projects. He gained extensive experience in biotechnology processes, such as cell culture, fermentation, chromatography, ultra filtration automation, room classifications, and good manufacturing processes. He traveled to 30 Pfizer sites, 10 contract manufacturers and business development partners, working as a site and center colleague and learning from some of the greatest engineers in the industry. He led nine major capital projects from pre-concept to end, with a total capital spend of $400 million. During his career he delivered more than 1,000 equipment validation reports and ensured compliance with quality standards and regulations and managed the 2019 and 2020 legacy Biotech Operating Unit Capital Planning process, rationalizing more than $600 million in sites' requests for capital investments to a $350 million budget across 10 sites. Pat adopted a hands-on and technical approach to problem-solving and project execution and has a unique ability to bring out the best in his fellow engineers.
