Patty built her diverse career on a reputation as a senior executive who collaborates across internal and external stakeholders to integrate science and business. She retired from Eli Lilly and Company, Inc. as Chief Operating Officer - Lilly Diabetes, an $8B global enterprise. In this role, she integrated strategy, operations, and governance and was responsible for the development and execution of a global launch readiness program that introduced six new products on an unprecedented 18-month timeline, yielding an incremental $2B in revenue. As Lilly’s first Chief Diversity Officer, she championed the integration of patient differences into both clinical and commercial business processes, earning Lilly’s first recognition on Diversity Inc.’s Top 100 List. As Lilly’s first Chief Alliance Officer, she created replicable processes for biotech partnerships and commercial alliances. In her most recent role as President and CEO of BioCrossroads, Patty championed Indiana’s life sciences sector through corporate and academic collaboration, seed fund investment, and new enterprise development.
Patty earned a B.S. in Accounting from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
