As one of the founders of Cheme Engineering in 2006 Nik was instrumental in the start-up of the company and took over as president in 2012. Since then, Nik has led the company through continued growth.
Nik is a frequent speaker at conferences on subjects related to compendial water and is a subject matter expert in the field. He has worked on a variety of clean utility, process and environmental projects since 2002. Nik's focus in working on water systems has been to continuously learn and gain a deep understanding of water purification and distribution technology, and how to design systems that are robust, operator friendly, and cost effective.
Nik is a licensed consulting engineer (C.Eng., PEO) and his academic background is from the department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Waterloo where he completed his undergraduate degree and master’s degree with a specialization in environmental biotechnology.
