Nassim Farrokhzad is a seasoned leader in pharmaceutical drug product development and cGMP manufacturing, with expertise in small and large molecules, solid oral dose, parenteral pre-filled syringes, and combination products. As Associate Director of Drug Product at AstraZeneca, she oversees biologics global technical operations, regulatory submissions, and innovation-driven initiatives. She was one of the key contributors in the rapid global scale-up of COVID-19 vaccine manufacturing.
With a career spanning roles at Proteus Digital Health, Gilead Sciences, and Western Digital, Nassim has led multi-billion-dollar product portfolios, accelerated regulatory approvals, and pioneered digital medicine manufacturing. A graduate of UC Berkeley with a Master’s in New Product Development, she is recognized for her contributions to quality-by-design practices and risk-based validation strategies.
