Myra Coufal, PhD

Myra Coufal, Ph.D., is a Principal Scientist at Amgen who leads the Process Analytics team in Digital Integration and Predictive Technologies group within the CMC Lifecycle Management of the Process Development organization. Her responsibilities include developing multivariate and first principle models to support commercial manufacturing investigations and process improvement projects, as well as internally advancing the use of mathematical models during process and product development. In addition, the Process Analytics team also develops and deploys the use of Process Analytical Technology (PAT) tools to improve monitoring and control capabilities of processes at various stages of the CMC Lifecycle. Previously, she led a Process Development cell culture team supporting mammalian commercial manufacturing. Myra earned a B.A. degree in Biochemistry from Harvard University, and a Ph.D. degree in Biology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
