Mr. James Ball

Jim is an Engineering Manager for Manufacturing Sciences and Technology at the Genentech Hillsboro facility. He has held positions managing cell culture production, protein purification operations, product compounding and aseptic filling. He has led projects to commission and qualify two aseptic filling lines using isolator technology, new product introduction and technology transfer activities, and commercial production scale up in drug substance and drug product manufacturing operations. Prior to Genentech, Jim served a Captain in the 82nd Airborne Division, where he earned the Bronze Star for combat operations during Operation Iraqi Freedom. He holds a BS in Physics from Boston College and an MBA from Northeastern University.
