Sr. Manager, Process Engineering
Minhaz Mohammed is the Senior Manager of Process Engineering at Takeda’s Massachusetts Biologic Operations site. With over 12 years of industry experience, he leads a team of bioprocess engineers responsible for designing, operating, and continuously improving biomanufacturing equipment. Over his 8.5 years at Takeda, Minhaz has driven operational innovations while progressively expanding his leadership scope.Before Takeda, Minhaz held roles at DuPont, Merck, and ValSource, including R&D process engineer, investigator, validation engineer, and quality assurance specialist. He earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in chemical engineering from Drexel University, where he collaborated on designing a two-phase bubble column reactor for biodiesel production and completed a thesis on reactor modeling and scale-up.Minhaz specializes in capacity modeling, equipment design, and techno-economic feasibility to tackle challenges in multi-product biomanufacturing. His work focuses on optimizing plant efficiency, planning for future growth, and building resilient operations while fostering a growth mindset within his team. Outside of work, Minhaz enjoys photography, traveling, swimming, and cooking with his partner.
