Global QA for Aseptic Manufacturing/Environmental Monitoring & Microbial Testing
Dr. Martin Müllner is an accomplished microbiologist with over 15 years of experience at Boehringer Ingelheim. From 2008 to 2018, he held various positions in the microbiological quality control lab, including the role of head of the microbiological quality control laboratory at the production site in Ingelheim. In this capacity, he oversaw the environmental/clean utility monitoring program for the entire production site, covering both non-sterile and aseptic manufactured products. From 2018 to 2023, Dr. Müllner served as a Senior Quality Manager in the global quality assurance department. In this role, he led the implementation of EU GMP Annex-1 and managed the global expert network of Boehringer Ingelheim. Additionally, he played a key role in establishing and defining global standards for aseptic manufacturing, environmental monitoring, and microbial testing. Since 2024, Dr. Müllner has joined the BI Animal Health division as the regional Quality Head for Europe & China Global Innovation Quality. In this position, he is responsible for ensuring quality and compliance across the GI sites in the assigned region.
