Teresa Rodó is Executive Vice President, Head of Global Healthcare Operations and a Member of the Healthcare Executive Committee of Merck.
Under Teresa Rodó’s leadership, the 7,000 people of Global Healthcare Operations are responsible for the manufacturing, supply and quality of Merck’s biotech and pharmaceutical medicines, as well as for medical devices. Besides serving 90 million patients across the world each and every day with Merck’s current medicines,
Teresa Rodó has more than 20-years experience in manufacturing, supply and quality in the pharmaceutical industry. Teresa’s experience covers operational and strategic roles, at the local as well as the global level in different countries.
She joined Merck in 2017 and before that, she worked for Boehringer Ingelheim in the area of Operations, where she led sterile site operations and the global quality assurance among other positions in the areas of manufacturing and quality across different countries. She gained experience in biologic operations at a global strategy level first and later on with a special focus on analytics and product quality at Sanofi.
Teresa Rodó was born in Barcelona, Spain where she studied up to the secondary level education. She completed her higher education as Dipl. Ing. Technischer Chemie in Vienna (Austria) and holds a PhD also from the Technische Universität Wien (Dr. Techn).
Teresa Rodó is married and lives in Frankfurt (Germany).
