Marketing Director
Luke Heaven is the Director of Marketing for Single Use Fluid Management Technologies in Europe, Asia, NEMEA and Cuba at Sartorius Stedim Biotech. He makes regular seminars around the globe on topics relating to the science and application of Single Use technologies in BioPharmaceutical Production Process.
He is also an active board member of the UK chapter of the Parental Drug Association (PDA) as well as being a member of the ISPE and PHSS professional bodies.
Luke holds a degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology and has 19 years experience in the Biopharmaceutical industry.
Luke joined Sartorius 2006 and is now based in the United Kingdom and reports directly to the manufacturing Head Quarters for Fluid Management Technologies in Aubagne, France. In addition he is also heading the European and Asian team of Application Specialists.
Luke has been working specifically with Single use technologies since 2004, having a high level of activity during the most dynamic period of Single use Adoption in the market.
Due to previous experience before joining Sartorius in the roles of Production Management and validation he has a long history of overcoming specific challenges associated with the application of Single use Technologies in cGMP processing.
Luke has also written and co-written several peer reviewed technical articles in scientific publications e.g. Bioprocess online on various subjects:
- Single Use technology advances
- Single use Assurance of Supply strategies
- Single Use Standardisation
