Louise holds a master’s degree in Occupational Hygiene from the University of Aberdeen, and postgraduate certificate in chemicals management from University of Hull, UK. Louise has over 20 years’ experience supporting Eli Lilly’s pharmaceutical manufacturing operations in Cork, Ireland. Currently Louise serves as a SME managing risks related to chemicals of concern, promoting safe and sustainable process design in development and commercialisation of new products.
In addition, she has held technical leadership roles in EFPIA (European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industry Associations), shaping pharma sector positioning, and external engagement on the chemical legislative dossiers of high impact to our industry. Louise helped prepare the public consultation comments, showing how the universal PFAS Restriction could have adverse impact on the development, manufacture and supply of medicines in the EU.
