Kim L. Nelson, PhD

Kim is a recognized bioprocess design industry leader with more than 30 years of experience in positions of increasing responsibility for facility and process design. He specializes in cGMP regulatory, process design and development and facility design for the biotech, pharmaceutical and medical device industries. His project experience encompasses domestic and international therapeutic proteins and vaccines, bulk fermentation scale-up and design and diagnostics products. Kim’s technologies experience includes large-scale mammalian cell culture, recombinant microbial culture, bacterial fermentation, plant and insect cell culture, downstream processing and purification. As a Manager and Chief Scientist of large-scale cell culture and microbial pilot plants, Kim brings considerable operations experience to CRB’s clients.
