Joe Miller is a licensed Architect in the State of California working as a Senior Principal Architect / Planner within Roche / Genentech's Global Engineering Group. He has over twenty-five years of professional experience specializing in the planning, design and construction of biopharmaceutical laboratory and GMP manufacturing facilities.

For the past twenty years Joe has worked in Corporate Facilities / Engineering departments for two major biotechnology companies in the San Francisco Bay Area. At Genentech, Joe started his career a Project Manager for an expansion project at the Vacaville site from 1999 to 2001. In 2004, Joe took on the role Subject Matter Expert for Building Technologies supporting Roche / Genentech manufacturing projects which include the Hillsboro Fill Finish facility (HFF) in Hillsboro OR, Ecoli Manufacturing Plant (ECP-1) in Tuas Singapore, Site Master Planning at SRPL site in Shanghai China, Site Master Planning at Jacaregegua site in Rio de Janeiro Brazil and Line 2 Liquid Fill Line in Hillsboro OR.

Joe is a member of International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE) and International Code Council (ICC). He has been a speaker on topics of biopharmaceutical laboratory and GMP manufacturing design in the US.
