Jonathan Malave

Jonathan is a Machine Vision SME at Amgen Manufacturing Limited Process Development Core Technologies group. His main role is to implement new machine vision technologies and optimize vision systems currently in production. Jonathan holds a bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineer Technology from University of Puerto Rico in Bayamon. He joined Amgen in 2009 as part of a coop program, and after a year he was hired as a regular employee. He worked for 10 years providing support to the manufacturing lines mainly maintaining the production equipment in optimal conditions as a mechanic and later as an Automation Technician. Recently, Mr. Malave took the role of technical lead to implement a 2-year project for a new automatic vial inspection line which included commissioning, qualification, programing of conventional vision programing and Deep Leaning models’ creation.
