Jie Chen, Ph.D.

Jie Chen is a Principle Research Scientist from the Small Molecule CMC organization of AbbVie Inc. She received her Ph.D. from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Chemical Engineering. Jie Leads the Technical Operations team in the API Pilot Plant which is responsible for scale-up and manufacturing of clinical supplies and tech-transfer to commercial sites. Her team also collaborates closely with other CMC functions to enable the new technology understanding, adoption, and implementation from laboratory proof of concept to large scale cGMP manufacturing.
