<br>Speaker: Gopal Nair<br>Mr. Nair graduated from Bombay University with BSc Hons in Chemistry and went abroad to London University for further studies. There he did his Masters in Analytical Chemistry and got his MRSC and was awarded C.Chem.

During his studies he worked in Astra and Sandoz-Wander in the UK. He joined Glaxo and was transferred to India as the Quality Head of Worli plant. Mr. Nair rose from that position to Corporate Quality Head of all sites and then transferred to Production. He was factory manager for both the API plants and the formulation plants and rose to the position of Technical Director on the Board of Glaxo India and was in charge of operations of all plants, QA, R&D, and Engineering. Mr. Nair has travelled widely visiting global Glaxo facilities.

In Glaxo, he was selected by Duke’s University (Fuqua School of Business, USA) to conduct training for Glaxo Asia Pacific in Singapore. Mr Nair helped set up Global supply chain for Glaxo. His presentation on Global Supply chain was appreciated by Dukes University (USA) and was used as a case study for Dukes’ MBA students. Mr.Nair has Co-authored GMP guide for OPPI (Organisation of Pharmaceutical Producers of India) and authored the Anti-counterfeiting Guide for OPPI.

Mr Nair retired from Glaxo and started his Consultancy Company. He helped Glaxo transition to GSK for a year. He helps Indian & Foreign Companies in design & Regulatory areas in the Pharma field. Mr Nair takes an active interest in dissemination of knowledge and education. He teaches, as a visiting Faculty, in a prestigious College in its MBA program in Pharmaceuticals.

Mr Nair is also a founding member of ISPE in India and served as the Chairman of ISPE India. Currently he is on the Board of ISPE India as Director. He has conducted several Seminars for the Pharma Industry and has been closely associated with all ISPE Seminars and workshops in India.
