Giampiero Lorenti, PhD

Giampiero joined the European Medicines Agency in 2024 as a Senior Scientific Specialist in the Inspections Office of the Quality and Safety of Medicines Department. Previously, He was a former GMP senior inspector at the Italian Medicines Agency (AIFA) and the Italian delegate to the EMA GMDP IWG, the Compliance Group, the EU PAT Team and the QIG, as well as member of several EMA drafting groups. Giampiero has a Master of Science in Pharmacy, and in Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technologies at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Rome, and has received a Ph.D. and a post Ph.D. in Pharm. Science from the same Faculty.
