George Cusick is Executive Director, Global Engineering Solutions in Merck and Co., Inc with responsibility for the delivery of the global HPV Capital program. George has been with Merck for over 25 years and has been involved in all aspects of capital project design and delivery for projects globally. He has been developing Merck’s Fast Track delivery process since 2005 on projects in the Americas, Asia- Pacific and Europe. In addition to his responsibility for capital projects, George was the lead Transformation Architect for a 2014 study of how to apply the principles of Merck’s Production System to the capital program. This study identified five primary methods of improvement and he is now responsible for coaching the organization on the transformation intent and change management process. Merck’s capital program is entering its third phase of implementation, and making good strides in developing its Lean, Integrated Project Delivery process.

George has an BSCE form Bucknell University and an MBA from Lehigh University, and recently been involved in the LCI sponsored Large Owners Group and has presented at the LCI Congress and communities of practice, CURT, Tradeline, P2SL and other benchmarking events.
