Mr. Elliot Abreu’s background spans over 19 years within the Life Sciences industry, implementing turnkey solutions in Information Management & Automation Technologies, and Compliance. Mr. Abreu leverages his deep Life Sciences subject matter, project management, and technology integration experience to help solve complex business problems throughout the Life Sciences Drug Development lifecycle.
His experience in life sciences includes manufacturing & packaging real-time process automation, supply chain systems, warehouse and distribution systems, serialization/track & trace systems, Manufacturing and Packaging Information Management Systems (MES, EBR, PES, Inventory Management), machine vision inspection systems, barcoding, radio frequency identification (RFID), and improving overall equipment effectiveness (OEE). His experience also includes deploying IT/Automation solutions within drug discovery and R&D, clinical trials, medical devices, and healthcare IT. In addition, he has experience in regulatory compliance, validation of computer based systems and equipment in accordance with CFR Title 21 Part 11, GxP, GAMP 4 and 5.
Mr. Abreu is currently focused on pharmaceutical serialization, track and trace and anti-counterfeiting initiatives at Xyntek. He has developed serialization and e-Pedigree strategies, requirements, supported vendor selections and project planning, and involved in managing serialization technology implementations for multiple companies including Packaging Coordinators Inc., Johnson & Johnson, AbbVie, Sanofi Pasteur, Genzyme, Merial, Teva, Forest Laboratories, Jubilant-Cadista, Pharmaceutical Packaging Solutions, Mission Pharmacal, the RiteDose Corporation, etc.
Mr. Abreu has spent his entire professional career at Xyntek, beginning as a Systems Engineer in 1998 to now running Global Operations for the company. He has been instrumental in the growth of Xyntek’s Serialization Solutions Business Unit, which features Antares Vision core software/hardware technology. This combination brings the experience of deploying over 1,000 serialized lines worldwide.
