Doug is founder and Managing Principal at DShaw Consulting. Over the past 30 years, Doug has forged a substantial career path in the Life Science industry, starting from hands-on roles in laboratories, transitioning to technology compliance, founding a company, and spending the last 15 years consulting. Doug holds a master’s degree in environmental biology from Hood College. He is well-versed in a variety of technology-related regulations and standards, as well as FDA guidance.
Doug has successfully led many technology initiatives for a wide variety of Medical Device, BioPharma, academic clients and software vendors throughout his career. Doug’s past engagements have included FDA inspection readiness, gap assessments, IVD project leadership, software development and AI/ML lifecycle implementation, organizational/ digital transformation, consent decree remediation and IT Governance.
Doug is particularly focused on developing Life Science technology strategies that harmonize efficiency, regulatory compliance, customer needs, and business objectives while keeping pace with the latest trends in regulatory compliance, security, and privacy.
