Dominic Carolan is the CEO of NIBRT, National Institute for Bioprocessing Research and Training, based in Dublin, having been appointed to this position in April 2015.

Dominic has over 30 years' experience in BioPharma manufacturing. He has successfully lead the start-up of two significant Pharma & BioPharma facilities in Ireland, Mallinckrodt Medical and Genzyme, has a proven track record in operations leadership and in attracting and developing the talent required to deliver long term success.

Dominic was Senior VP, Manufacturing, with Genzyme where his responsibilities included network and sites oversight, supply chain and CMO management. He was most recently with Sanofi, where he headed their global network of Sterile Injectable Lyophilisation sites. A graduate of University College Dublin in Chemical Engineering, Dominic was Chairman of BioPharmaChem Ireland, the industry sector federation, from 2008-2010.
