Dieter Fassnacht, PhD

Dieter Fassnacht, PhD, PMP leads as Director the Global Process Engineering Department at Grifols. He has over 21 years of experience in Biotechnology and more than 16 years representing the owner's engineering effort on major capital projects for Bayer Healthcare, Talecris Biotherapeutics and Grifols Therapeutics. Dieter is well experienced with technology transfer and front-end engineering as well as project execution up to commissioning and IOQ. Prior to entering the corporate world, Dieter has worked as a lead scientist for the TU-Technology GmbH, an independent university spin-off where he developed fixed-bed reactors to cultivate animal cells. Dieter holds MS and PhD degrees in Chemical Engineering from the Technical University of Hamburg, Germany.
