Dhruv Patel

Dhruv Patel is an undergraduate bioengineering sophomore at the University of Maryland College Park. Dhruv serves as Synapto’s Chief Executive Officer, leading the team in research & development initiatives, corporate & scientific strategy, regulatory affairs, and product development. He has held prestigious positions at several biotechnology companies including Otomagnetics, where he optimized magnetic drug delivery to the inner ear, Weinberg Medical Physics, where he improved CNC methods to produce electromagnetic coils for portable MRI research, and Senseonics, where he improved longevity of patient grade micro-implantable continuous long-term glucose sensors.
