Dr. Daniel Rudolph will lead manufacturing and technology transfer for cGMP manufacturing, including analysis of scale, materials and supplies, testing and quality specifications, and required equipment.

Dr. Rudolph has 19 years of experience in biotechnology research and development, including experience leading and developing processes for cGMP production, technology transfer, analytical testing and manufacturing with candidates such as clinical stage viral vaccines, and has contributed Materials, Process and Batch Analyses sections to several IND applications. Prior to Emergent, he led strain construction, upstream development and manufacturing transfer activities at Paragon Bioservices, Lonza and Cambrex. Dr. Rudolph obtained a B.S. and M.S. in Chemical Engineering from Bucknell University and a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Virginia where he subsequently completed a post-doctoral fellowship in Cell and Molecular Biology. He serves as Principal Engineer at Emergent’s Baltimore cGMP manufacturing facility.
