Dan C. Milholland has extensive experience in filter testing and cleanroom contamination control in the semiconductor, aerospace, and pharmaceutical industries.<br>
He completed both his undergraduate and graduate studies at North Carolina State University where he was awarded a Master's degree in biochemistry.<br>
Milholland began in the air filtration business in the mid-1970's as a service manager for a company that sold air filters. That experience was the springboard for founding Biocon in1980.<br>
He was a part the Contamination Control / Cleanroom Group at SEMATECH 1987 to1988 in Austin, TX. This was a joint effort between the US government and industry to regain the world leadership in microelectronics. From 1988 through 2000 he was a member of the contamination control team of the world’s largest semiconductor manufacturer. This involved extensive work to improve cleanroom performance to keep pace with the rapidly growing demands of the manufacturing process. Milholland was also given the responsibility to work with filter manufacturers to automate and improve ULPA filter testing at the manufacturer’s facility and on site.<br>
He has served on various IEST Working groups for over 30 years. He was a member of the IEST Working Group 100 for the revision of Federal Standard 209D and served as US Expert Council for ISO 14644 and is currently on the US TAG to ISO/TC-142 “Cleaning Equipment for Air and Other Gases.” He has served as the lead instructor for "Testing HEPA Filters in Cleanrooms" for the Eagleson Institute, Sanford, Maine since 1992. He is on the NEBB Cleanroom Committee to certify cleanroom certifiers.<br>

<li>Presented to the FDA for the "Barrier Users Group Symposium"</li>
