Daisuke Hirasawa is a pharmaceutical engineering professional with over 20 years at Chugai Pharmaceutical. He has successfully completed a $400-plus million API manufacturing facility project and serves as containment subject matter expert. His expertise spans facility design, containment strategies, and developing next-generation pharmaceutical professionals through mentorship and educational initiatives. He launched – ISPE Japan Emerging Leaders Program to develop young talent in country’s pharmaceutical industry. He has been active in the Containment Community of Practice and has served as a Japan Affiliate director since he joined. He has been an ISPE member since 2018.
