International Relations Specialist / Diplomat At FDA
Chris Middendorf is the International Relations Specialist for pharmaceuticals in FDA’s India Office. Prior to joining the India Office, he served as a Drug Specialist in FDA’s China Office. Chris joined FDA in 2000 through the Presidential Management Intern Program (PMI now PMF). <br/>
He was a program analyst in the Office of the Commissioner. While in the OC, Chris completed a research detail at the Center for Veterinary Medicine (CVM) aquaculture facility in Laurel and was an assistant investigator in a drug residue in fish study. <br/>
He also completed a detail to the Office of New Animal Drugs, reviewing INDs. Following a stint as Branch Chief for Consumer Affairs at FDA’s Center for Biologics Research and Evaluation (CBER), he became the Public Affairs Specialist at FDA’s Center for Devices and Radiological Health (CDRH). <br/>
He moved on to fieldwork in 2008, becoming a Drug Specialist in 2013. In 2016, he joined the FDA’s China Office in Beijing as a Drug Specialist. He worked in the FDA China Office for the past 3.5 years. His new role will focus on international policy issues between FDA and India. He will reside and work in New Delhi.
